My Approach

Jessica's approach to counselling is a multi - disciplinary and person centred approach. Jessica comes from the school of Carl Rogers, where it is believed that humans are meant to fulfill their potential,  like a caterpillar develops into a butterfly when the conditions are right. Humans however differ from a caterpillar in that each human is unique and will develop differently according to their personality.


From this view, it is believed that all humans have the ability to reach their goal. However, sometimes there are challenges that get in the way.  Jessica's approach to counselling is to help clients resolve these challenges according to their personality, values, feelings and experience.  She can draw upon various therapies she is trained in including CBT, ACT, existential therapy, breathing therapy and mindfulness and combine them through the vehicles of art and music to connect with the wide range of unique personalities.
